The Korean Hanbok Experience

I finally did the Korean hanbok experience! I put it on my Korean list to-do when I arrived. When I first came to Korea it wasn’t really a major attraction nor were there many places advertising this service, but over the last 3 years it has become a popular activity with tourists. I personally thought it was a great idea and opportunity to experience a new fun side of Korean tradition. So one Summer afternoon in June, I headed out to Jongno 2-ga to rent a hanbok.

Sweet San Francisco

In 2015, I was spending my summer in Southern California on a month-long study trip with my school. I had not initially planned on going to San Francisco, but after much talk with my fellow roommates at the hostel in Venice Beach, I decided to spend my next weekend up state.

Brussels, Belgium on a Big Budget

On a whim, me and two friends decided to do a weekend trip to Belgium! We were all on serious budgets, so we aimed for spending no more than 100 Euros! It was some post-Easter long weekend in Europe, so we decided to do a bit of traveling.

Visiting Quasimodo: A trip to Notre Dame Cathedral

On arriving in Paris on my very first weekend, I did those open roof bus tours to get a quick overview of the layout of the city. The Rough Skins In Knysna

I love animals and nature. I also like taking photos of them! I promised myself a trip up South Africa’s beautiful Garden Route to see the elephants.

I originally planned to go to the ADDO Park, a real nature reserve on the borders between the Western and Eastern Cape, but a family member suggested the Knysna Elephant Park. The Knysna Elephant Park is a great experience, if you want to really interact with the elephants and if you are on a budget. You get to meet them, feed them, touch them, connect with them and take lots of cool close-up pics of them too.

A Trip to Mount Fuji

I did a trip to Japan in 2013. I specifically went in the beginning of April as that was the time of the famous Sakura Festival at Mount Fuji. I was staying in Tokyo, and Mount Fuji is about a 3 hour drive away from the city. The festival and blooming of the cherry blossoms are very specific to these two weeks in April. I was so intent on capturing those photos of the scenery.

Sydney, Australia: The Sailing City Of Oz

In 2011, I took a short holiday down under to Australia! I was based only on the East Coast and it was the opportunity to meet up with a friend of mine also vacationing in the country!

I was staying in Melbourne, but I decided to travel to another coastal city in my short time.  We decided to take a budget flight to Sydney from Melbourne to save on time.
