Before leaving Seoul, I made sure to check out the latest fashion exhibition by Louis Vuitton. The exhibition called, Volez, Vougez, Voyagez was held at the amazing Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Travel and fashion are 2 things I absolutely love. So Volez, Vougez, Voyagez was the perfect exhibition that combined these 2 popular lifestyle trends.
Kalk Bay harbour lies on the East Coast of the Cape Peninsula and lies in the False Bay Gulf. Growing up in Cape Town, Kalk Bay has always been a great post for watching seals, eating out and watching the fishermen come in with the catch of the day. The harbour walks also offer relaxing views of the ocean and a nice break away from the city. Let’s discover more about this small spot in the Cape.
A friend of mine had won tickets to see the Shelby House exhibition at the Daelim Museum in Jongno, Seoul. She kindly invited me and another friend to be her guests, as we are all art lovers. So one hot, muggy and humid Sunday in Seoul, I met with my friends and went to check out the exhibit.

I was super excited when my bestie from Cape Town, South Africa emailed me in 2011 to say she was going to come and visit South Korea! I was only living in Seoul for about 3 months, and I was excited to show her around the city. Luckily her visit coincided with a two day-long vacation period in March so I decided to include a visit to Busan to do something special. It was my first time playing host and I wanted it to be perfect, so why not include a bit more if South Korea where we could both explore.
This will be my last and final post on my year living abroad in Peru in 2008. It’s my last
because I simply have nothing left to tell of my adventures.
Next year will be 10 years since lived there, and since compiling these posts, many of the good friends I had made there that I am still in contact with are suggesting a reunion. I would love that, as since then I have become a more seasoned traveller and I am better equipped to document my travels to. I suppose I’ll just have to wait and see!
Namsan Tower or also known as Seoul Tower, is the iconic broadcasting station that lies atop Namsan mountain that is situated in the middle of Seoul Tower. It has now become a part of Seoul’s landscape and a major tourist attraction. The main feature of the tower are its 360 degree views of the city, so it’s best to go up on clear days.
In 2011, I went to the Hello Kitty and Friends’ convention in Seoul. Cute characters are serious business in Asian countries, and Korea is not an exception. Practically, everything can be made into a cute character much to my delight. It’s also appreciated and enjoyed by both adults and children.
