In 2013, me and a group of friends decided to spend a week in Bali for the New Years celebrations. This was the peak season, so keep that in mind when reading this. Bali is a popular destination because of it’s amazing beaches and coral reefs. In that particular week it was raining A LOT! There was non-stop rain for 3 whole days!
A few years ago, I went on a quick drive up to Stellenbosch and we spotted a cheetah sanctuary. We are lucky in South Africa. We get so much amazing opportunities to see wildlife, that most people only get to see on the National Geographic channels. Whether the animals are in their natural habitat or in sanctuaries, we are still lucky to be able to see them in plenty.
- I have been informed that the Cheetah Outreach has moved to Somerset West, about 20 minutes from Stellenbosch. Please refer to the website (below) for more details)
This October, I decided to go and hike at Mount Seoraksan, a popular range of mountains on the East coast of South Korea. It is now a national park and attracts thousands of visitors daily. The mountain was named after the Autumn season and the white rocks that adorn the cliffs.
This year, I decided to take up hiking as a hobby. I have done hikes before and enjoyed it, but never thought of making it a regular staple to my hobbies list. Korea is a great place to take the sport up, as there is easy access to many hiking trails and many hiking clubs and groups to join. Plus, It’s really cheap.
I spent just over a year living in Paris, France. I arrived at the end of 2014, and left just a little bit over a year in 2015. I was studying Fashion business management, and learning about the history of fashion in France and how to create different brands in different sectors.
I love a good massage, and always ensure I get one while on holiday abroad. However, there are various treatments on offer in different countries, as well as different prices. Thus far, Asia has impressed me the most with their variety of spa and relaxation treatments that are in high quality and affordable. In this post, I bring you my own experiences and quest in finding the best Asia has to offer.
Unlike South East Asia, massages and spa treatments are not a speciality in Europe and can be very pricey. You won’t get a treatment for both hot spa and a full body massage for under $20 here! I am now a student, so casually spending money for treats like massages is no longer on my agenda.
Being the lucky girl I am, I was bestowed with the lovely gift of a full spa treatment from my amazing friends for my birthday! Perfect.
