Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve

Last week, I was lucky enough to be part of the UNESCO World Heritage Road Trip to the Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve. It was a fun collaboration with the popular @instagram_sa, where 4 bloggers from various creative backgrounds came together and went on a road trip to celebrate South Africa’s Heritage Day on 24th September. The aim was to visit some of South Africa’s most beautiful and well-preserved conservation areas.

Volez, Vougez, Voyagez

Before leaving Seoul, I made sure to check out the latest fashion exhibition by Louis Vuitton. The exhibition called, Volez, Vougez, Voyagez was held at the amazing Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Travel and fashion are 2 things I absolutely love. So Volez, Vougez, Voyagez was the perfect exhibition that combined these 2 popular lifestyle trends.

Kalk Bay Harbour

Kalk Bay harbour lies on the East Coast of the Cape Peninsula and lies in the False Bay Gulf. Growing up in Cape Town, Kalk Bay has always been a great post for watching seals, eating out and watching the fishermen come in with the catch of the day. The harbour walks also offer relaxing views of the ocean and a nice break away from the city. Let’s discover more about this small spot in the Cape.

The Korean Hanbok Experience

I finally did the Korean hanbok experience! I put it on my Korean list to-do when I arrived. When I first came to Korea it wasn’t really a major attraction nor were there many places advertising this service, but over the last 3 years it has become a popular activity with tourists. I personally thought it was a great idea and opportunity to experience a new fun side of Korean tradition. So one Summer afternoon in June, I headed out to Jongno 2-ga to rent a hanbok.

The Boryeong Mud Festival

As the sticky, hot monsoon season draws to a close, South Korea’s famous Boryeong Mud Festival begins and ends in the final week of July. I was lucky to have gone twice to the festival, that is famed for it’s skin energising mud off the coast.  Let’s take a look in pictures into just what makes this particular festival so popular among locals and tourists in Korea.

Mademoiselle Prive in Seoul

I saw adverts for this exhibition all over my social media 2 months ago. The Mademoiselle Prive promotions combined cool character animations of Coco Chanel and a look through her design process. The process of how Coco Chanel came to build her brand and how the current Chanel still uses her history to define the brand today, is what keeps the brand moving forward. The Mademoiselle Prive exhibition has come to Seoul, and is being showcased at the D-Museum. I went to check it out over the weekend.

Bucharest, Romania

I had  to go on a week-long study trip in Romania in 2015.  It was part of the international exchange programs between my French university and a Romanian one. Romania is starting to invest more in developing its industrial and manufacturing industries as it opens itself up internationally. Romania has long been overlooked as a tourist destination. However, over the last 3 years, the country is becoming a popular travel destination as the country develops itself as an industry leader and brand.

Hello Kitty Island on Jeju

Besides it’s amazing natural beauty and outdoor hiking trails, Jeju Island is also famous for it’s many museums and theme parks around the island. One of its most recent attractions is the new exhibition hall, Hello Kitty Island. A new complex built to indulge in the ultra-cute world of Sanrio’s most beloved character…Hello Kitty! I first heard of the place two years ago when I spotted it on Instagram. As fate would have it, I was going to spend a weekend in Jeju….and Hello Kitty Island was on top of my to do list!
