High Tea at The President Hotel

A day at the Cape’s iconic President Hotel is always a treat. You are immediately met with its modern interiors comprising of metal and glass that allow the bright South African sun to filter light through the interior throughout. Swaying palms, an eternity pool and an outdoor restaurant deck where you can enjoy the fresh sea air.

It offers the ultimate Mother city chic vibe.

On a hot May afternoon, I was hosted by The President to experience their High Tea. Before entry, you are met with a delightful glass of Bubbly. All guests get two large fluffy white scone each with butter, cream and jam before before the arrival of your 3-tiered trays of savoury and sweet treats. The tea station offers a vast variety of teas where you can help yourself.

I won’t lie, the hot weather had me feeling me like something more chilled and so we opted for a bottle of rose on ice for our high tea. It’s your high tea experience, so make it work the way you want to! The treats all looked amazing with savoury starting below and ending of with the sweet cakes and macrons on the top.
